Introduction
No platform today seamlessly combines logging albums, live shows and music reviews combined with social interaction. I´m creating a platform that enhances how music lovers engage with their passion through a connected community.
The Problem
Existing platforms lack a balance between usability, social features and more extensive infromation about artists. This project aims to fill that gap by creating a modern app for music discovery and discussion.

Project Background
This project grew from my own passion for music and the frustration of not finding an app that met my needs. The idea came when I was looking for a platform to track the music I listen to, document concerts and connect with other music enthusiasts—something that didn’t exist. This gap in the market inspired me to dive deeper into the idea, researching existing platforms and how similar people felt about this.
Design Process
I’m currently still researching and shaping some early sketches for this platform. By summarizing what the current platforms lack and conducting interviews with music enthusiasts, I’m collecting thoughts, insights, and wishes from potential users to ensure that the design is centered around the people who might use it, rather than just my own thoughts and preferences. My next step in the process is to conduct user testing on these early sketches to get further insights from potential users.

User Research
I conducted a user survey to gain insights into how people engage with music and their interest in a platform for sharing recommendations. The participants were gathered from various online music communities across Reddit, Facebook, and other global platforms to ensure that I got a diverse range of perspectives from other passionate music enthusiasts.

User interviews
In addition to the survey, I conducted individual interviews with about ten people from my own network who I thought might be interested in the idea. I asked them about their experiences with current music streaming platforms and whether they felt anything was missing. I also introduced my concept and asked if they would use it themselves and if they had any suggestions or feedback.
I summarized the key things they mentioned they felt were lacking in existing platforms:
Information about artists and band members
Log your listens/Concerts
Toplist based on friends listens.
Better vay to see vhat your friends listens to.
Veekly recap/more statistics around your listens
Better viev for comming Releases
Competitor Research
To deeper understand the competition I analyzed all other platforms that attempt to do something similar to my idea. This included looking at their user base, the features they offer and identifying what features they are lacking or if their users are unhappy for other reasons. To gain understand their users, I researched online forums and reviews to see what existing users were complaining about. By combining this with my own analysis, I was able to identify key weaknesses in current platforms and areas where my concept could provide a better experience.
